Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport- Video
Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we are looking at the Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Rack here on our 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport. So the Kuat NV is an awesome bike rack, especially as it is a premium bike rack with all the weight capacity and premium features you would expect from Kuat. So here we have our bike, and the way that it's mounted is we have a wheel strap in the back and this front wheel clamp here in the front. I really like that front wheel clamp design because of how it comes down, and it secures our bike by our front wheel. Like, I have a carbon frame bike, so if I use the traditional hook that comes down and secures it by the frame, I'd be worried about it for being, or cracking my frame. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport HR4000- Video
Hi, everyone it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we are looking at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack here on our 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport. So the Destination bike rack is an awesome bike rack from Hollywood Racks, because of how it gives you the opportunity to carry around four bikes on a platform rack at an affordable price. So it holds up the bike at three mounting points, so we have one, two, wheel straps, as well as this frame mount. So that frame mount is unique in its design, because it has a 360 degree of rotation, so depending on your frame, you can move this mount up, down, left, right, as well as around, so that's gonna work with your frames of different shapes and different sizes. When you wanna take your bike off, this is where you start, right at that wheel strap. So you press a lever, and then you pull up on the strap, and then you rotate the strap, so it's off to the side, and it doesn't get tangled up in your spokes when you take your bike off, so do the same for the other strap. more

Hey, everyone. It's Colln here at etrailer and today we have a 2020 Range Rover Velar. Now, we're going to go ahead and do a test fit of this Thule Helium 1 Bike Platform Rack.This is really nice and simple rack that also looks really good on our Range Rover. Allows us to get one bike loaded so we can haul it to and from our destination. Great thing about it is that there's no frame contact with our bike. We just got two of these arms that are securing our tires. more

Yakima DoubleDown Ace Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Land Rover Evoque- Video
Today on our 2012 Land Rover Evoque we'll be test fitting the Yakima Doubledown Ace Four Bike Carrier, part number y02451. To begin our test fit we'll simply slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up the pin holes, insert the pin with the red knob into the pin holes and turn the black knob at the back of the shank to engage our anti-rattle device.Now with the Yakima Doubledown Ace secured to our Land Rover Evoque we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about ten inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Land Rover here at the bumper is about four inches. We've added about ten inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now pull the red lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and with the cradle arms out we've added about 33 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. To access the cargo area we'll pull the red pin at the base of the carrier to tilt down the mast. more

We've added about nine inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now pull the red lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and with the cradle arms out we've added about 24 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. To access the cargo area we can pull up the red pin at the back of the carrier to tilt the carrier down. more

There's about 13 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. Closest part of our carrier to the closest part of our Land Rover here at bumper is about five inches. With the cradle arms folded down we've added about ten inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now pull the gray lever at the top of the mast to bring the cradle arms out and with the cradle arms out we've added about 34 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. To access the cargo area we'll pull the gray lever at the base of the carrier to tilt down the mast. more

We have about 12-1/2 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about nine inches. With the cradle arms folded down we've added about 16 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now pull the gold pin at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and with the cradle arms out we've added about 36 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. Keep in mind that this measurement does not include when a bike is loaded up on the front set of cradles. more

We have about 17 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Land Rover here at the rear bumper is about six inches. With the cradle arms folded down we've added about 16 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now pull the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and we've added about 27 inches to the overall length of our Land Rover. Keep in mind that this measurement does not include a bike on the front set of cradles. more

We've added about nine inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We can now pull the gray lever at the base of the carrier to fold the platform down. With the platform folded down we have about 16 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. more

Now to begin our test fit we'll simply slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, allow the integrated spring loaded pin to fall into place and we'll then turn the black knob to engage our anti-rattle device securing our Thule Apex Swing to our Land Rover.Now with our bike rack secured to our vehicle we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Land Rover is about five inches here at the rear bumper. We've added about 11 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.We'll now pull the gray lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and with the cradle arms out we've added about 35 inches to overall length of our Land Rover. To load the bike we'll undo the cradle straps, place our bike onto the frame cradles and secure it with the straps. more
